I added more style to the status pill for the card yesterday using ACF and Bricks Builder. I also implemented a neat trick of including a query loop for terms within a query loop of posts. Additionally, I added custom fields for the color in the Status term so each pill has its own color, allowing visitors to quickly glance through and recognize the status. I had to use style attributes for it to work instead of the usual dynamic data, which took me a while of tinkering and reading on the Bricks forum.

I also added an animation so that hovering over the card reveals a “view more” button in the top right corner. I enjoy designing and seeing these micro-interactions come to life on my website.

The goal for today is to create the popup that shows more content for the reading and watching cards upon clicking. I built a Hemingway bridge for the popup yesterday before going to sleep, so the main challenge will be designing the actual content inside that popup.
