I overslept and came late to today’s morning practice but was able to get some sweat going. My ankle still isn’t 100 percent yet from the sprain I had last week. Afterward, I went home to prepare my meals for the day; it’s therapeutic to cook but can take quite a while. What you put into your body—the fuel and rest you have—is as important as the workout itself. It’s quite hard to balance all that while still maintaining a professional life. Being able to have a slow day during the weekday where I can cook and rest is a blessing working independently.
There are definitely some days when all I want to do is sit at my laptop learning or working on a project, and some days I just want to go out and get lost in nature with books and practice mindfulness. Being human is definitely fascinating.
