Some Updates on the Single Post Template and the Overall Site
- I’ve assigned the blog posts to categories and tags now, adding the category terms at the top of each post and the tags at the bottom.
- I’ve set the posts as a template so they can be reused across the site, providing more consistency when there are any changes. I’ve applied the templates to the homepage, the archive page, and the single page.
- I’ve added the related posts section with a style similar to the “Entertainment Card,” but without the background and thumbnail. I decided to keep the “Post Card” simpler to avoid confusing visitors with the “Entertainment Card.”
Next Tasks on the List
- Set up the archive for categories and tags; it will be similar to the existing “Writing” archive template.
- Add a form to collect thoughts and comments from visitors on the single blog template, homepage, and archive pages.
- Include a list of category terms and their descriptions on the Writing archive page.
- Add search functionality.
