Palmer Dinnerware – Dish Ecom Website

Date posted: June 23, 2025

Bespoke ecommerce website, very clean design that display product, switching from grid view (traditional website design that helps with common user behavior) and “experience view” which is more interactive using mouse drag to view the product.

I like the beige colors, the shadow effect on the dishes, the use of the dragging mouse as well as the entrance of buttons and guide when hover on the product card which makes the design super friendly. I can browse through the selection and doesn’t get bored when viewing the product detail.

The typography they choose for the website is very nice and easy to read, reminds me of Inter but more rounded: https://weltkern.com/typefaces/lausanne

The product single page that horizontal scroll.

The About page also has the highlight of text along with the carousel that automatically transition to another slide, the animation is nice and smooth.

I also like how they layout the footer with the Newsletter banner and couple of images to make the website more dynamic and bring color to otherwise boring section of the website.

I also like how they organize the contact page where instead of showing the contact form directly, it’s hide within a popup which makes the design cleaner and more interactive, I wonder if it helps with the spaming issue.
