It has been a while since my last run on March 9, 2025, when I set my personal record for 21k at the Run To Live Half Marathon. It has been two months. Today, I decided to put on my running shoes again and go for a run to clear my head and reconnect with myself.
It was a hot and humid day. I ran for about 5km, and by the end, my t-shirt was covered in sweat. The run was slower than I expected, even though I have been doing burpees to maintain my physique and cardio. Nevertheless, the run was fun and helped me achieve my goal of starting to run again. I have signed up for a 10k at the end of May and a 21k in July. My goal for this year is to finish a marathon without walking.
I will update my running progress on this blog as a form of running diary.
Today’s run was an easy, unguided run to get me back in the groove. It was slower than I would have liked, and I could have run more but decided against it so as not to put too much stress on my legs on the first day back. Overall, I felt good.
