Caso Patrimoine – booking website

I like the zooming entrance animation of the hero section upon scrolling, can be used to capture attention quickly on first scroll, suitable for wedding website (?), along with the layout, font-pairing and subtle animation of text and images, the layout and the color use are also memorable and can be study in my future projects.

I also like the mega menu, appear like a lightbox

website
Palmer Dinnerware – Dish Ecom Website

Bespoke ecommerce website, very clean design that display product, switching from grid view (traditional website design that helps with common user behavior) and “experience view” which is more interactive using mouse drag to view the product.

I like the beige colors, the shadow effect on the dishes, the use of the dragging mouse as well as the entrance of buttons and guide when hover on the product card which makes the design super friendly. I can browse through the selection and doesn’t get bored when viewing the product detail.

The typography they choose for the website is very nice and easy to read, reminds me of Inter but more rounded: https://weltkern.com/typefaces/lausanne

The product single page that horizontal scroll.

The About page also has the highlight of text along with the carousel that automatically transition to another slide, the animation is nice and smooth.

I also like how they layout the footer with the Newsletter banner and couple of images to make the website more dynamic and bring color to otherwise boring section of the website.

I also like how they organize the contact page where instead of showing the contact form directly, it’s hide within a popup which makes the design cleaner and more interactive, I wonder if it helps with the spaming issue.

Yilin Wang – Product Designer Portfolio Website

Thoughts

Simple yet very effective website that showcase portfolio projects, subtle cursor changes that subtitute for a call-to-action buttons, but would be quite ineffective and not very good for user experience when they are browsing on mobile devices tho. I like the bento layout with the pastel background, the gradient of the “Awarded…” text.

The single page for the portfolio pieces with the meta data, presented nicely with a clean design. Very impressive portfolio.

inne.io – Hormone tracking at home

Cool layout to layout and listing all the benefit of the product/services, nice font pairing along with the pastel color, bring a soothing feeling that fits the product they are presenting. The color for the elements is easy on the eye and not too stand out that distracting from the image and context.

Suitable for a benefit section on the website
