Yesterday was the first day in a long while that I woke up at 7 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. like usual. I decided to go on a morning recovery run of 5 km, following the Nike Run Club training plan. I remembered to warm up and stretch thoroughly to avoid injury. I started slow and easy, trying to maintain a steady, smooth, relaxing effort throughout the run. My lower body felt a bit stiff during and after the run, but overall, the mood was great. I enjoyed getting a fresh start to the day, feeling the warm sunlight as I ran past people walking and working out at the park.

I should do more morning runs, but since I usually train Jiu-Jitsu the night before, my tired body prefers to sleep in and recover. I think the solution is simply to go to bed earlier. I also need to consider fueling and hydrating before the morning run. The next half-marathon is coming up, so I need to train more frequently.
Talk to you later.
