Half a tempo run – Running Diary

Date posted: May 17, 2025

To continue my Marathon Training Plan from Nike Run Club, I started the “8K tempo run” this evening before dinner, only to realize that the run was actually 12 km, with the 8 km tempo run in between. I was a bit short on time today, so I decided to stop the run early after around 6 km. The weather was hot, and the effort was on the “hard” recovery level, around 6-7 out of 10. I tried to run faster to cover more distance and put in more effort since I only had a short time for training today.

It was a fun and kind of inspiring run. Even though the run was short, I felt happy to come home and have dinner with my family. I’m glad to have spent some time during the day taking care of myself, becoming a better person for those I love.
