I went on an easy evening run today to meet my quota of a 45-minute workout every day. I didn’t have my usual running shoes with me, so I settled for my Air Max sneakers, which hurt my feet a little at first, but I eventually got used to them the longer the run went on. The air was chilly, and there was a bit of drizzle here and there, but not enough to distinguish from my sweat.

My shoulder was a bit stiff from training Jiu-Jitsu but felt better after the run. I’m glad I got the run in before the day ended to check it off my habit list. This was the first run of the week; I should have run more consistently throughout the week, or else all my runs will be recovery runs. I have a 21k race coming up in mid-July, which means about a month left to lock in and aim for a new PR of a sub-2-hour half marathon.
I’m drinking about 4 liters of water every day, which kind of makes me want to stop for a bathroom break mid-run, but I persevere, hoping to sweat out the excess water.
